Purple Truck

Just finished this one. It took me ages to draw.

I was using the wrong kind of paper for a start, I was using watercolour paper and colour pencil on top. I just thought I will try it out. I have used that como in the past but this was a different brand of watercolour paper.

Anyhow, I think it looks good :).

That's how true artists evolve...…….experimenting with unlikely materials, and then the unexpected (and often great) happens. Your finished product is Amazing Matt. It has a realistic atmosphere which I can't put my finger on, but that's what real artists do so that their work is unique and not easily reproduced.... SO impressive m'love ! xx

Great job Matt. Your shading is excellent especially along the side length and the wheels and windscreen are about perfect. Personally I found the green squiggles along the front bumper a bit distracting but this really is a great piece of work.

I love the colours too, purple is one of my favourite colours.

Purple is mostly a cold colour with some warmth. Mostly blue with some red. And I prefer the cold rather than hot.

Also, purple is a calming colour and echos my personality :).
