Well I’m a bit miffed cos today is my birthday, which isn’t the thing I’m miffed about though, it’s the fact I am under the weather.
Didn’t feel right on Monday evening. Spent Tuesday dosing up with natural medication. Got over the worst part and felt loads better on Wednesday and even went out to one of my clubs.
Wednesday evening, my sore throat that I had has not shifted. Weds night, early Thursday it kept me up most of the night and today I can’t go out and play :(.
So, I guess it shall be a duvet day today while watching a couple of new DVDs... well actually it’ll be a bedspread day cos I don’t use duvets... too much faff.

No duvet for me either ; too hot, even the lowest tog ones.
Sorry you're unwell Matt & hope it passes soon, but don't waste the day feeling 'miffed' ; engross yourself in a good movie and enjoy the luxury of a stay-in-bed day...… Love Cat x
As soon as I had written the title of the post saying I was miffed, after that it was gone haha.
I have already watched one good movie and now I am going to start watching a feel-good tv series called Derek. Have you seen it? Very good. Ricky Gervais is a very clever bloke.
I'd be interested to hear what you think of Derek. I watched the whole series and thought Ricky G. was spot-on in his portrayal of someone with autism.
I remember how I caused a bit of a furore here on the forum because the consensus was he was ridiculing autism, but I know for a fact that he researched it thoroughly, besides observing the behaviour of a family member with autism, and noticing how caring and conscientious she was compared to others.
And this (for me) comes over clearly compared to other characters in the care home. It's a clever illustration of Good vs Evil through the medium of a vulnerable, kindly soul...….. Derek. What RG is ridiculing if you watch between the lines, is just about every other character (besides Hannah & couple of others) ) but never Derek.
I have a niece who's severely autistic and the mannerisms are SO authentic ; very cleverly observed and characterised. The actress Kerry Godliman and Ricky G. are good friends off screen : I really like her too. Let me know what you think m'love.
Hope your birthday hasn't been such a disappointment after all ! xx
Happy birthday at least you got out im on hoilday in dawlish for a week because i thought it would help but it isnt and i like you am currently coocooned in a black out blanket in bed which is helping calm my over loaded senses listening to crashing waves as i cant go to the sea bc the smell of the sea water is too over powering so ive brought the sound to me and again i dont have the energy to make the bed hence the black out blanket i brought down from home

That's such a shame that it's closing soon. I remember when you could get a wide variety of shops and they were always busy. It's too easy and convenient, to just shop at the supermarket and then use their cafe, not quite the same as a local bakery.
More people should shop at the small businesses over supermarkets really because supermarkets are the big reason why people don’t bother with them.
I know supermarkets can be cheaper but I would rather spend a little more at a small business.
Supermarkets may have their own bakery but it’s not a vegan one is it :).
At this vegan bakery she makes vegan wagon wheel slices which taste a lot better than the real thing.
So other than supermarkets pulling the bakery under, it also comes down to money and the rent. Our town’s council charges a ridiculous amount for rent.
The bakery is off of the main high street so it is a bit out of the way and I expect they would love to have the shop in the main high street but rent would be extortionate.
The rent they pay for where there are is high as it is.
