Here is a picture I have just finished that I drew for a friend at one of my disabled charities called Square pegs.
Happy elephant: Here is a picture I have just... - Headway
Happy elephant
I dare anybody not to smile looking at that picture 👏🏼👏🏼
Even the elephant itself? :).
That's one happy baby elephant...………..funny how we like to perceive certain expressions on animals as a smile ; maybe from children's books or cartoons ?
Still, when I stop to pet a pooch and its tail wags, I could swear it's really smiling !
Nice one (again) Matt ! xx
Thanks cat :).
Normally a dog wagging it’s tail is a sign of happiness and the faster it wags the more excited.
I saw a video not long ago of a dogs owner, who was a soldier in the army, returning from wherever it was and his dog went berserk. Licking his face, tail wagging frantically.
I post quite a few videos on facebook of verious animals.
Oh pity, I left Facebook ages ago, but it's a great medium for showing your work. I'm feeling pretty rotten today with headache/cold/snotty nose etc. but smiling 'Nellie' is cheering me up ! x 🐘
I'm sorry to hear you are under the weather but I'm glad my drawing has helped lift your spirits :).
I would like to draw a baby hippopotamus... actually, I have plans to draw many baby related animals.
Another strange but cute looking animal to draw would be the Pangolin.
Similar to the Armadillo :).
I love Pangolins too Matt. They're kind of a cross between an armadillo (with the scales & snout) and a hedgehog (the way they curl up so perfectly into a ball). So sad though how they're exploited and hunted like so many other species ; makes me ashamed to be human at times...…. xx
It is very sad. Also makes me ashamed to be human as well.
I can't believe what some people do to animals.
If it was different and it was absolutely fine to hunt animals for "sport", what would the whole point be?... Ok you have just gone and shot the fastest predator on earth from a mile away with a sniper rifle. And somehow that makes you superior?
Don't get me started Matt. I don't understand how people like you & I and countless others are hurt to the core at the thought of an animal being hurt or abused and will do anything to save a tiny creature (I'm one of those who fish moths/flies out of soap suds & revive them in kitchen roll) .....................….whilst others get such enjoyment from using them for 'Sport' or trophies or financial gain.
I'll stop right now ; already feeling my pulse rising ! 😠 xx
Well, I don't know about rescuing moths/flies and so on but I do appreciate the little things in life a lot more now.
As for these waste-of-space hunters, well, I hope they get hunted down by a pack of wolves.
I once read an article about a group of 3 poachers in Africa got into a rhinoceros enclosure. Little did they know that along with the rhinos was a pride of lions too. They all got ripped apart.... serves them right.
I love a happy ending :).
Hi Matt another success what a happy chappy this elephant is it looks like he is having a good chuckle, you are so gifted, again well done Love Liz xx
That is wonderful Matt. I will show it to my daughter she is elephant mad and has been since being a child. Well done. You are so talented x
Wow!!!!! Yes, it gives a smilemail. 😆😃
