Family friend and Girlfriend saved my life when I was attacked 2 days ago, today

Hope you are all ok.

Doing this post from my hospital bed because I am back in hospital again.

The reason I am back in hospital again is because I was attacked just after I got off the hospital shuttle bus in my home town from visiting my best friend Helen in hospital in another town.

The attack happened to me for no reason what so ever in daylight on Friday evening by a gang of 6 men, who I do not know, in front of horrified members of the public including my family friend Lauren and girlfriend Hayley, who had also been to visit Helen in hospital with me as well.

My girlfriend and family friend save my life by calling the police and an ambulance and they both managed to pull 2 of the 6 men off me before the police and paramedics arrived but I had already been stabbed 4 times and had lost consciousness due to blood loss.

When I regained consciousness I was already in hospital in the High Dependency Unit and a doctor told me that I had needed surgery to repair damage to my liver because one of the knife wounds had punctured it and also that the heroic actions of both my family friend and girlfriend defiantly saved my life.

I was moved out the High Dependency Unit to a ward this morning and also this afternoon the police came to see me, to take a statement of what happened and they also told me that 3 of the men who attacked me had been arrested and charged with GBH and attempted murder.

Why me?

I am also very angry because I had not done anything wrong to these 6 b*****d's, that I do not even know!!

Before I forget I have already said a big thank you to Lauren and Hayley for saving my life 2 days ago, by giving them both a hug!! Also Helen is getting better each day since waking up 3 days ago, today, but is still in the Intensive Care Unit, of the same hospital I am in.

I will keep you all updated.

OMG Ben those bastars!!!! May they rot in hell. I'm very sorry to hear this as you are a good guy and are there for people. Thankfully Lauren ans Hayley were there but that could have been more disasterous for them too. What is wrong with people!!! Well if u need sorry we will pray you heal and get better. Lauren and Hayley are still in shock from what they saw and did and risked their lives to save mine. I also agree with the HDU doctor that their actions were heroic!!

Omg Ben you poor thing!! Such guttless people about that have to do horrible nasty things like this!! I'm happy to see you are on the mend now thanks to your girlfriend and friend (the poor loves). We All need people like them in our lives TRUE FRIENDS!!!!. Hope your home soon mate 😉

You have already had to deal with so much. Still making progress on your own brain injury, your daughter's illness and your friend's coma.

Hiya Hodder I was also attacked by 3 cowardly b'tards 33 years ago. They fractured my skull ripping my meninges and shattering the right cochlear. I was patched up as best as could be, but still ended up with epilepsy and deafness. I lost my job as a fireman and to top it all the b'tards got away with it. In all the years since even though I can't remember what happened it plays on my mind. Not nice at all. It made me an angry man for quite a long while. I've got over much of it except now at the age of 64 I'm getting to be a grumpy angry old man . Maybe I will get back to my old self unless I kick the bucket first. With a little help from your friends and family you may be able to pull through. Good luck and don't let the b'tards get you down. Dave.

We are all so very sorry that you were also attacked by 3 cowardly b*****d's 33 years ago , that they got away with it, this also makes me angry for you and that you have been left with ongoing problems as a result of what these 3 cowardly b*****d's did to you.

I am a lot better now and the b*****d's that attacked me in front of my fiancee (girlfriend at the time of the attack) and family friend have now been arrested and charged with GBH and attempted manslaughter.

Agree because It's defiantly a comfort knowing that the b*****d's are locked up and that they can't harm myself or someone else, again!!
