Why does my head shake uncontrollably when I'm tired?

Every night when I am sleepy out of nowhere my head and arms shake. It all started after I had some illness where I threw up and had a painful stomach ache and the night before just and only my head was shaking violently and I couldn't stop it. That was 2 months ago and I want to know what causes this? My family doesn't want to take me to the doctor because they don't think it's that big of a deal but it's annoying and I'm a little bit worried.

We are not medically trained, but people who have a brain injury so we cannot suggest a diagnosis. Your shaking head could be due to a variety of causes but you do need to be checked out by a doctor especially as its continued for 2 months. By brushing it off as nothing to worry about is not a good idea.
