Can anyone recommend any self ideas
I get so frustrated when I look back and see my texts mistakes self help ideas
Hello ☺ nourish your noggin is a good book which tells you all about what foods are good for the brain after a tbi. Coconut oil, fatty foods (healthy fat!) like avocados, fish oil, nuts to name but a few!
Also brain injury a practical guide by Trevor Powell is an excellent read and easy to understand ☺
Blueberries is another. Not sure how they help but the BI group I go to encourages people to eat them.
Hi Adam, hyperbaric chambers can deliver the increased oxygen you mention. Some MS groups have access to them and will treat brain injury patients but you will need a doctors letter and it will come at a cost.
I have found acupuncture helped the nerve pains in my arms, they aren't gone but I no longer feel like chopping my arms off!
I take a good quality multi vitaminB, also coenzyme Q10 this gives me increased energy and I'm thinking of trying nootropes. Nightbird is using these and hoping the initial benefits she has experienced are going to be sustained.
I'm always on the lookout for anything that will help, of course a good balanced diet is essential too.
