I’ve read on here about omega 3, I want to learn more about my brain and how it works, is there any books than can help and someone in hospital mentioned about an oxygen tent that has 100% oxygen, like everybody I suppose we try anything that can make our life’s better has anyone got any ideas or examples of they’ve helped them would be much appreciated thanks, adam

Hello ☺ nourish your noggin is a good book which tells you all about what foods are good for the brain after a tbi. Coconut oil, fatty foods (healthy fat!) like avocados, fish oil, nuts to name but a few!

Also brain injury a practical guide by Trevor Powell is an excellent read and easy to understand ☺

Blueberries is another. Not sure how they help but the BI group I go to encourages people to eat them.

Hi Adam, hyperbaric chambers can deliver the increased oxygen you mention. Some MS groups have access to them and will treat brain injury patients but you will need a doctors letter and it will come at a cost.

I have found acupuncture helped the nerve pains in my arms, they aren't gone but I no longer feel like chopping my arms off!

I take a good quality multi vitaminB, also coenzyme Q10 this gives me increased energy and I'm thinking of trying nootropes. Nightbird is using these and hoping the initial benefits she has experienced are going to be sustained.

I'm always on the lookout for anything that will help, of course a good balanced diet is essential too.

Can highly recommend reading - the mind gut connection by emeran mayer. Incredibly interesting and educational points- healing internal for brain health explained very well, hope Helps! X
