Pain almost 6 months after Gamma Knife anyone got any ideas!

Gamma Knife on Sept.30,2013. Still having bad pressure especially when I bend my head down.Head feels like it's being squeezed in a vice. The headaches before the GK were easier to deal with. Balance is much worse now then before the GK. I get sharp pains in my ear never both just one it only last for a a bit but hurts and my right eye waters. Anyone got any ideas on what can help with the headaches. Taking Topimax can only handle 30mg. at night have to sleep on sofa it make me feel so sick to lay flat. Anyone have any ideas or help!

I had a bleed on April 25,2013. Embolization on the 26th.

You're describing symptoms I get but I didn't have Gamma knife, I had no bleed just encephalitis, but I get those feelings of pressure, no pain though, I don't take anything just paracetamol or ibuprofen, balance is an issue but varies from day to day, strange!!

YOU COULD TRY THE TRIPTAN FAMILY OF DRUGS. I TAKE MAXALT MELT, RIZATRIPTAN. THEY DISSOLVE ON THE TONGUE SO ACT QUICKLY. THE NEURO SAID I CAN TAKE 1 AS NEEDED. THEY NEVER FAIL FOR ME. I TEND TO BANG ON ABOUT THEM BUT THEY REALLY DO WORK FOR ME. WE TRIED EVERYTHING WE COULD THINK OF BUT NOTHING ELSE WORKED. I WISH YOU LOTS OF LUCK.

Ask for pain patches and see if they work. They suit me but obviously everyone is different. Take care.

Thanks for the responses. It's 7 months and a MRI showed no swelling but still feel worse then I did before the GK. I know I had to have it but sometimes I wish I would have passed on it. It's going to be a year since my bleed on 25th and my headaches are worse. Just so ready for one day my head does not feel like this.
