Vitamin Confusion : Random thought, I have wondered... - Headway
Vitamin Confusion
Hi - not sure about supplements as such. Just know that the better I eat, the better I feel. IE lots of fresh fruit and veg , homemade soups, decent meals and less processed food where possible and exercise as much as possible.
Good luck !
Hi Becky,
I would say "yes" there are vitamins or nutrients that will help your way of life. It is finding them that can be the tricky part. Research the internet/youtube this and that and you can get a lot of info.
As Moo was saying, whenever she eats better she feels better for it and I can definitely agree with her there.
My diet used to be terrible. It mostly contained of sugar and processed food and rarely any natural foods. This was also the time of my life when I had problems with my head. Sounds like I am blaming my poor diet for the 2 brain tumours I had and many ops to go with it. Well I would not be surprised one bit if your diet does play a big role in health.
I eat a lot better now and feel better for it too. No head problems for years now and I hope never to have any again.
I now use essential oils and frankincense essential oil in particular is great for brain injuries as they help deliver oxygen to the brain and the brain needs more oxygen in order to heal.
possibly, though I'd look at diet and exercise first. other possibility is getting checked for any low levels? sometimes just looking after your self can make one feel better!
Fish oil, definitely. Omega 3 and DHA.
A little late replying :/, but Vitamin B12 is what my brain needed most and not the usual amount, but like a super-dose so I ordered B12 capsules from Boots (i live in Spain) and I'll admit it, at first I was dubious thinking "another empty promise that'll be a costly waste of time", but after a week or so I noticed a major difference in concentration and feeling of 'presence' I lost after my accident. So I ordered a multivitamin with the same dosage of B12 that I take everyday.
