Hi Dorsetcharlie,
Really get what you mean in your blog when you say dangerous to think on your own I'm the same and have to rely on others for some decisions in my life. My V2 (version2)brain is not the same and I have to accept that and do but thinking for myself in some situations is tough.
Your right too freedom is not always what its cracked up to be again this can be tough too, my mind will wonder and ill play out movies of what I think should and would happen in any situation before they are even happening. Not good.
Have a great Thursday. XX N
Nice! Great stuff and a fascinating read. Echoes an awful lot of what I already know and have experienced. It STILL amazes me that all I know is not alien to others.
Good luck on the next phase of your journey
Andy
Hi Charlie
What a lovely story! Not really a story, but the actual truth!
You've written it so well, and Jake is doing so well!
I hope you have a really amazing day!
Love Debs

Soo beautifully written! I especially like the ending on 'tipping points'. The journey echoes familiarity for me.
Good luck with the next tipping point!

Hi Charlie,
Fantastic to hear from you and read your update on how you and Jake are living with his brain injury.
I am so impressed by Jakes journey on the train. (I do appreciate the planning and organising it would have taken...well done to all concerned) who'd have thought it hey!!!
I have read all your blogs and would advise anyone who needs help in the early and on going stages to read your blogs....Charlie, you give a very truthful read including the shock, hurt, upset, misunderstandings, re adjustments, battles in house and out..... Etc etc...........
Sending lots of strength, courage and well dones to you and Jake
Joanne (aka HannahS) 😃
Thank you Joanne, writing it was a very cathartic experience!
How lovely to see you back Charlie. I 'get' what a big deal it is for Jake to have dispensed with his disability badge ; I find it astonishing seeing how far he's come.
Great shame about the friends. It's a good friend who sticks around in rough times, but we need them equally to share the good.
You've been an amazing carer, wife and champion this past 4 years and now stepping back is clearly another massive challenge, but I don't doubt for a second that you'll both continue to grow as individuals, and a team.
This is a story offering hope to so many others ; showing what determination and gutsiness can achieve.
The best of wishes to you & Jake, from Cat xx
I see now it's early days with my husband but this gives me hope
Feels like I'm going crazy at times and know what you mean about friends dropping off. They think he's better now
We know different. Loved reading this thank you for sharing
One day i should share my words. .. one day x
