Decided on a walk on Sunday. It was a nice day so went on the edge of th Peak District. Didn't manage far and took a while to complete. Took a pic half way round when we had a break....ok ok and a little nap in the sun.

Lovely day lovely walk.

looks lovely, i'm a fairly slow walker now, though due to fitness, I don't slow uphills i.e. my walking pace is balance limited rather than fitness, so steep hills is the only place i'm "fast" as such.

Mines a standard speed....slow. This is due to pain and having a vague idea where my left legs is. If I try and speed up I only speed up with my right leg...Then I tend to fall over.

It's just nice to get out and into fresh air.

Ah no pain here, bar emotional when I get overtaken by little white hair woman...

Though it is only one leg that doesn't listen to my brain as well. Oddly fine on a bike meh!

I find tripping up the old ladies slows them down.

As for bikes...Good at going in circles....Oh then falling off.

Oooh I have envy I love the peak district as I'm a Derbyshire girl, it looks beautiful and why not have a nap in the sun :-)

It was other end of the peaks this time near Stocksbridge. Usually go round fox house or Edale.

Love the peaks.

I think with such beautiful surroundings it just makes you chill right down

Feel like I need to. But you are right best place to chill.

I know when I've been out in the countryside, its felt like I could breath and the weights on my shoulders are not so heavy, if that makes sense

It makes perfect sense as I feel the same.

Is that Underbank reservoir Paxo? Just wondered with you saying it's at Stocksbridge end. At first i thought it might be up near the Strines pub.

Pretty jealous Pax 'cause I've spent many wonderful days in the Peaks, but still can walk very far with this bl**dy broken foot. And the weather's been so lovely. Glad you made it though .........and great photo ! xxx

Ok thanks m'dear. It'll be three weeks tomorrow so I'm getting there (seems a shame wishing my life away whilst the weathers so nice).

Managing to potter around, make meals & do light chores............roll on May 3rd when I'm back at the clinic.

Thanks for asking Angie..........you take care ! xx

Not been able to go far at moment due to still finding breathing a problem. Chest has cleared up but still find it hard to breath deeply.

Was hoping fresh air would help. Plus I want to get back to volunteering as a walk leader. Although we don't walk far I don't want to be leading the walk from the back.

Looking forward to taking paints along one day as I haven't painted for a year or two.

we are so lucky with the Peak District on our doorstep personally I love the Edges : Stanage: Curbar, Froggatt etc - shame I can't walk them anymore

I agree they are great. Thought I would never get up there again. It takes a lot of planning but you can get there. Started at Stan age. ....Well car park and a little stage down the path followed by a loooooonng rest then nearly crawled back.

Was it worth it??????? Oooohhh yes.

Lovely, Pax.

I took my boys camping in the Peaks last year, and (as I was well at the time) we climbed up one of the hills. A mountain, it was, apparently. It's lovely and can't wait to get back this summer for another few nights under canvas.

You never tried Kinder Scout? Well done where ever you went

Some really small hill near Ashbourne. My boys legged it up to the top, found a crag to sit on so they could watch me stagger along! I don't think it was anywhere of particular note but it was a gorgeous view up there. I might be more able this summer though after a year's practice going up and down Steep Hill here in Lincoln!

Steep hill lives up to its name. My daughters at Lincoln uni and have been up and down that hill...slowly.
