I spent years with the drunk feeling with my coordination affected.

Now why would i pay money to get that feeling back?

I wouldnt.

Now im not totally alcohol free as i do have the odd drink to be social.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Hi there. Yes. I feel 'drunk' all the time when I walk.

How long did you take to get rid of that feeling? I am now two and a half years after my accident!

Thanks 😀😉

Everyone is different but i used to use "tricks" when walking. as i always found it worse when tired, with people walking passed me etc so i used to stand still and check my pockets etc.

Before you realise it youll find the drunk sensation goes after a few years.

As i said "We are all different"

I haven't drunk since my wife's party just a few days before the accident.

Partly I was so wobbly and still am when tired. And I just have no desire to drink.

Been a year and half now maybe one day? But to be honest it's become the new normal for me, drink had nothing to do with my TBI. And I drank rarely even before.

Still gives GP's something like my Blood pressure to say "well done!" In that mildly patronising way?

Hi, I'm the same, 3years on now and I only take a glass of wine if out for a meal and then not always.

Toasted in New Year as well, but can count on one hand the number of alcoholic drinks I've had this year.

I was told by the rehab consultant not to drink alcohol under any circumstances, and I'm doing very well but I miss the taste of whisky, my favourite tipple, not had any in 2 years, shame, beautiful drink xxxx
