nicky - i'M listening - and been there done that so often over the decades - so listen to me now pls.I had a BI 13 mths ago. So what I say is nothing to do with that. Just about being stubborn and fighting for your son's needs and rights!

After my husband almost disowned our 1st son nearly 45 yrs ago in favour of 2nd son - and to this day still don't know why when I know DNA tests would show we are the parents of both sons. Eldest had a lot of problems at school. His headmistress understood and said to me 'if you don't fight for your son no-one else will! Believe you me its very true! Never be rude or insulting - lose your rag yes, why not? It will get people's attention far quicker than sitting there seething, but all meek and mild and seething!

That was a valuable lesson for me - I was 25/26 at the time I'm 67 now, left my husband last year and still fighting battles - but for myself - it took me a whole year to get the medical help I needed for my BI because I had no suppor and no-one to fight my battle except me.

So a few cliches here - if Mohammed won't come to the mountain - the mountain must go to Mohammed! You must shove, push, even occasionally shout, but politely, every day for your son and the help he needs - believe you me persistence does overcome resistance! It might take longer than you hope/expect but you keep pushing girl! Cos if you don't - no-one else will.

Many people may not agree with what I say or how I say it - but with me, what you see is what you get! I think that I am now living proof that that doing things the hard way in a foreign country with different language, is better that doing nothing and getting no-where and because my determination and persistence has paid off eventually, today strangely has been one of the best - at about 8pm I thought I was the real old me - before an unhappy marriage and double brain injury! I was young, happy and doing normal things and forgot about everything - except how long it took to plant about 20 plants in the tiny garden'and pots at my new home. and yes they look great.

Go for it Nicky - a happy Easter to you and your family. Shirley.. en France......xxxxx

and please don't forget to come back to forum to let us know how Liam is getting on. xx

I don't understand why they don't listen? I have been telling doctors for seven and a half years about the problem with my right shoulder and arm after the vaccination went wrong so now I have lost a lot of muscle and my shoulder has dropped they send me to physio who said why has it took this long for you to be sent to us ,you have a big problem with no easy fix??????????????????????????????????????????.

Thanks for your replies... I will never give up fighting for what he needs. It's my duty as his parent and when I become to old to fight for him then his little brother will take over from me.... Am teaching him well lol ;-) xxx
