dwp phone call please help

can any one help me to understand .i just recieved a phone call from dwp.it was a voice mail saying this is the dwp calling for my name .I will call you back on Monday .No return number was given so has any one else had this ..confused. found it this morning and bit worried never happened before

Only thoughts are - have you got an application being processed for a benefit or is one you receive in the process of being reviewed??

Sorry StrawberryCream apparently its their new way to call the support group to see if you are getting well enough to review if you can join the work related group. A friend confirmed it and its stressed here .Also it was on the benefits and work forum.Hoping it helped others in the group feel less afraid if they get the call too .It is a worry so lets keep letting others know about these changes.It might stop some one being up half the night

I got the impression from your post that you had absolutely no idea why they might be ringing you so just tried to respond with some suggestions. Sorry I got it wrong and stand corrected! Anything to do with benefits causes worry and I am with you on that.

Morning ,this was the link I saw in the Benefits and Works forum when I asked another friend they too said yes it is happening

Many thanks for this but interestingly all the posts on the wheresthebenefit site are over 12 months old, what my wife and I have just discussed is that if I (who is in ESA support group) get any phone calls, I will insist that I need notification in writing before any such phone calls so I can have my advocate with me than the call takes place

thanks ..there are other more current folks being called.My friend said she has been called so I am just trying to wait till I hear on Monday .My frend has fibro .I sent her a whats app and she said they called her .A while back to ask her plans too.

So I searched the forum and found that link and it was 2014 .I was just trying to find out ..if this was usual or what I was facing

Sounds like harassment & bullying to me. They should be asking us HOW we like/need to be contacted and given warnings of things like this. Now I NEVER know what info to give on the phone coz NO idea who they are. But like the dumbo I am I believe whatever people say when saying who/what they are.

Coz HOW can anyone know who ANYONE is, ID, job etc. when meeting them and on the phone.

Just dunno WHAT's true now. None of us really know at all. And probably LOTS of what we're told is fact isn't. I read on net that Cameron won election, sounds odd to me but NO idea what's true. Just can't imagine UK voting for him again - but maybe I'm wrong, often am.

I was told am in 'denial' coz I didn't believe something else in the news. And I think been lied to LOADS about People/dog being dead. But i'm not going to quiz or argue, life's too short.

But what's the point of lying about important things like that? Easy to see why my bungled op was lied about though. Why do people find it funny to lie to me/tell me fake stuff and do 'errors' on purpose? Who do they THINK I am and WHY do they believe what they've been told and DO it? I know I'm a dumbo but I try not to HURT anyone = unlike some others. What exactly do they THINK they're doing and why? And are they RIGHT???

If it is important they will call you back. If it was a scam they may well justleave you alone. If they need you to answer, whoever they are, they will ring again. Dont worry. There is no need to worry. If it is the dwp a day here or there is nothing.... they take weeks to decide what to put in their sandwiches in the morning.
