Hey guys,

I was just wondering how long it took for your coeliac blood tests to come back? I had mine on Monday and haven’t heard anything yet. Does it usually take a while?

Thank you

Mine took about a week, then, because it was positive, the next appointment was for the endoscopy

Hubby’s blood test results for CD never appeared during his three weeks in hospital. The biopsies came back and his diagnosis was made from them. The excuse we were given is that the blood test is very expensive and they have to wait for more patients samples to arrive! Strange that he was so ill that they kept him in isolation for three weeks, wonder how much that cost them? He had to have blood tests done every day for potassium levels etc so the excuse seems wrong.

My memory is a little hazy (it was 7 years ago) but I think around 10-14 days.

It can be about 3 weeks for some areas, minimum of a week. I'd just follow up every Monday for a couple of weeks.
