hi everyone,Like many of you on here Iam having trouble getting my monopost.
Iam down to my last 3 days and can't get any anywhere!
Have asked gp to give me a replacement but I'm worried what she might prescribe as I have been on so many different ones before that didn't do well with me.
I also have to have pf.
Does anyone know what is similar to monopost pf? and what is going on with the supply?
Sorry for rant but I'm panicking!!
Thanks for listening.

I also have had problems in getting monopost. I called all my local pharmacies and everyone confirmed no stock anywhere. One very kind pharmacist advised that monopost is due back in stock in 2 weeks. I have no idea how accurate this is.
My eye clinic have prescribed bimatoprost which are pf. Like you, I also have had lots of problems with other eye drops, so I’m hoping these new drops work for me and that monopost is readily available very soon. I understand it is a manufacturing issue. I hope this helps.
Thank you Nala for your quick reply it really helps to know im not alone.Think i might try and ring consultant secretary tomorrow and see what she says.
Eye drops seen to be a problem everywhere, and not just monoprost, my mum have her prescription of them with no problems in Wales, I don't use monoprost but have had difficulty in getting eye drops prescription in the past, I even have to swap chemist to get one brand, and neither chemist can get it now it was Simzbrina, I am now using two different brands instead of it, which I have not had any problems so far in obtaining, go back to your consultant they will sort it out for you. Best wishes.
Hi. Try not to panic! I also could not get the Monopost anywhere. The substitute I now have been given is Visutrax. Single dose, preservatitve-free. They have been okay for me, and I was very anxious about it too. The only difference is these are in 0.1ml unit doses, unlike the Monopost which was 0.02ml unit doses. So needed twice as many for the month as used in both eyes. Good luck.
You can't ask your GP because he or she is not your glaucoma doctor. You need to go back to your glaucoma doctor or their PA and ask what they recommend as a suitable substitute for you. I did that and was told by email to ask the GP for Lumigan. So I printed out the email and took it in to the GP's surgery so they had the authority to prescribe it. Hope this helps.
Oh dear hope you get sorted-I have to collect my monopost prescription on fri-see whether its there!!! Very worrying with drops when we so rely on them & not like we can so easily use something else. Does really concern for the future as many drugs seem to be getting problematic -is it the big Pharmas we wonder starting their extra money making and control??? Really hope you get some-we can well do without the worry!! Best wishes.
Thanks. I thought I'd have to wait longer as the pharmacy warned me. I had a week's supply left. Good luck with yours. Where in the country are you Callie?
I have to have pf too but consultant said to get prescription of non pf until it’s all sorted. Luckily my GP surgery managed to get me two boxes from elsewhere. This isn’t the only medication in short supply.
