Hello everyone,

We have been receiving a lot of calls and emails regarding Monopost, and the problems with supply.

There was a problem with production. This was rectified on 17th March.

Stock is now being sent to wholesalers and will be dispatched to pharmacies this week. Times of deliveries to pharmacies will vary, depending where in the country their wholesalers are based.

Pharmacist can call the manufacturer or the wholesaler for updates regarding delivery dates.

Trish

thank you for the update, much appreciated. Hopefully I will receive my order soon.

I have 2 BOXES in the house - one on an NHS PRESCRIPTION and the other which I obtained through a PRIVATE HOSPITAL - it is just a pity that they do not come with a FAIRY GODMOTHER as I can not put them in and I have to wait until someone is available to do it for me. I should get some in today as the lady who does my heavy grocery shopping is coming today. Still once a week is better than none at all I suppose

Have you tried laying down on your bed to put them in? I cannot put them in if I am standing or sitting but I have no problem putting them in if I am laying down. The nurse at the Eye Department should also be able to show you how it is done. Once a week is not good! Good luck x

I don't know if you are aware, but there is a compliance aid that can help in putting the drops in. It is called a Thea Eyot and is available on our website. It has been designed by the manufacturers of Monopost. I have attached link for you to take a look.

Thank you Trish - I have already seen it and I shall probably buy a one to try it. Thanks for thinking of me

I was able to get one box of 30 from my local chemist today. They're expecting the rest by the end of the week.

Hi , I was due my script this week and couldn’t get hold of monoprost and going away on Saturday abroad . Rang round loads of local pharmacists and found one who had one box left . My usual pharmacy cancelled the request from Gp and sent it back to the Spine and the other pharmacist picked it up for me . The drops with the preservatives make my eyes red and bloodshot . Hope the supply is sorted soon .

I was finally able to get Monopost pres-free today from Boots having tried several different pharmacies over the last week. Hopefully this means that stock is now beginning to reach patients.
