I've been doing a little reading on these two supplements as treatments for Chronic Fatigue. Just a few articles I found through a google search. Seems like this might be promising approach but I also don't know anyone that's tried it. I'm hoping someone here could chime in...
In addition to chronic fatigue, I also have sciatica and RLS. Restful sleep is a fantasy and during the day, I do not have the energy to do most of the things I used to I'm taking a liquid b-complex, sublingual b12 for CFS and so far, no improvement. I do take a host of other supplements and allergy/asthma medications.
Heat and humidity in TN are TERRIBLE and aggravate the fatigue and contribute to my anxiety for being cooped up in the house.

COQ 10 definitely helps me function better. Along with regular supplements, I take 100mg about 5x a week. I recently added 2 sublingual B12's and a bit of afternoon caffeine to give me a jolt, and keep me awake. I agree, heat is debilitating .
How long do you think it takes to be effective? On top of the unusual summer heat, for the last 2 days, we've been under extreme heat advisory! I really enjoy gardening and even the labor part, but it's so hot that as soon as I step out there I'm dizzy, sweating and dragging. Thank goodness I don't have grass, the heat killed it a few weeks back.I'm going back to work in August (school system) but I won't last long like this. I just need something to give me a boost.
Well, I'm not sure, it's subtle, you start noticing . yourself on your feet for longer periods of time. Also take a bit of caffeine mid afternoon Have you tried extra vitamin B1, that def helps too ! Hope you have an air-conditioned school !
Sublingual b12 is either liquid or tablet that is held under the tongue for better absorption.I'm still wrapping my head around the simplest meaning for NADH, but google says:
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is the active coenzyme form of B3 and is needed by every cell in the body for energy production.
I've only recently read about it but apparently it's been used for awhile to help those with CFS. I'm sure there's plenty of people that know more about this than I do, but that's why I asked the question
I've been back to work three weeks, as of tomorrow. Also three weeks in Coq10. Establishing a routine makes a difference for beginning a new school year, but this year has been different/harder with all the extra health issues. I can't say I'm doing better, but also not worse. My job is very demanding as I work with children that have autism: I get plenty of exercise! For that reason, I am still too tired to work out or do anything when I get home.
I've been taking B-complex and additional B12 liquid for 6 months. After about a month of CoQ10, I was doing better. Still nowhere near my normal strength and endurance. It's been over a year now, and I'm not giving up but every day is a challenge...
My husband thinks covid set off thyroid disorder (everyone on my mom's side is hypo) but my TSH and fT4 are within normal range.
I didn't know this forum existed until I looked in your profile to send you a private message regarding the supplements I take. I did say you reminded me of myself a few years ago. I also have CFS diagnosed in 2016. due, I believe to multiple pneumonia & too many to count lung infections over about 4 years. I also developed Small Airways Disease on top of the asthma after so many lung issues. Also have borderline diabetes 2 - I dont have RLS though!
I take the Ubiquinol form of Co Enzyme Q10. Its apparently better absorbed than plain Q10. I take 100mgs daily as a maintenance dose and 200mgs at times when I know I'm doing too much, I'll start a week before, then during the activity, then after for a week. An activity is basically when it's impossible to pace myself, like driving across England to stay with daughter, hubby & three small children for a week, then drive home to recover mostly in bed for a week.
I read Dr Sarah Myhill's book on CFS and ME. She's now a private GP in England (so i cannot afford to see her & anyway she has an extremely long waiting list). I have thet paperback & also on the kindle app. I do rate her approach very highly. Towards the end of her book she list what's in her Fatigue Pack. I decided to take each item for 3 months to see if it made a difference. The first I chose was Ubiquinol, I'd been taking it a couple of weeks when a Naturopath friend (who'd had ME) suggested I take the maximum daily dose of 200mg daily for a while to really whack it into my system . The difference was amazing so I've been taking it ever since.
Vitamin B12 is also listed in the fatigue pack so I've added that too @ 2000mcg daily.
I'll get back to you with my list of supplements tomorrow. Kind regards Penelope/ Peege
I take Ubiquinol too, for the same reasons as you 😀
I wasn't seeing much progress, so I added more (now at 200mg/day), and then a couple weeks ago started NADH. My dr agreed it might help me get some energy, but that I might need 20mg to feel better. I'm still waiting to feel better...
I take LOTS of pills everyday, most of them supplements.
