Yes I replied to one of your other posts about low Iron/B12 and your air hunger. Yes Docs often say things are OK - when what they mean is that they are in range. The range normally goes from around 180-800 or 900 - depending on the lab. In Japan the range starts at 500. So your result needs to be around 900 to prevent cognitive decline. You are entitled to have copies of all your blood test results and the ranges are the figures in brackets usually. If you obtain them and post here in a new post or contact me through PM then I will have a look at them for you. So its the Famous Five you need testing - Iron - Ferritin - Folate - B12 - VitD.

It's good that you are taking Cod Liver Oil but there may not be enough D in there to help..... If you wish to reply to me - just click onto Submit reply in the orange box below this box....

My Marx,

Thank you for your help, I rang my dr yesterday and he said all my tests were in the upper range, I forgot to ask him for a copy (fibro fog) do you think that is a satisfactory reply? Or should I press him for a copy. Do you think I should take a good multivitamin, are there any other supplements I could try. my fibro is through the roof at the moment, having to deal with husband in rehabilitation

Hospital and coming home on 17th he is 82 and I am 78 how I shall cope I do not know

It might not be Fibro Fog - it could be LOW B12. As I said in the earlier post - you need copies of all your results with ranges. People here will help you with the results. Which tests were in the upper range ? You need to press the Reception for copies - it is your legal right to have them. Your body - your results. Have you had your thyroid anti-bodies tested ? Many people with thyroid problems have Fibro. Yes I was diagnosed with Fibro in 2000 and the Thyroid in 2005. The Two are often connected. It is often caused by LOW T3.... I am now fine and dandy at 68 ! Look at my profile and you will see the edited version of my health journey. Click onto my name and then you will see it :-)

Sorry have been in the UK and away from the computer :-) Do you have the ranges for the above results. They vary from lab to lab. The Ferritin is HIGH - should be around 70/80 - so it may indicate that you have some inflammation somewhere in the body. Have you considered going gluten free ? It may just change your life :-) and help you to be pain free....gluten can cause inflammation in the gut...and elsewhere including the muscles and joints.
