My symptoms began a few short months after a spinal fusion and continued to get worse after each back surgery.

My symptoms began almost 3 years ago one week after major surgery though i belive i had milder symptoms for many years before that probably since childhood that i had not taken too much notice of just found extreemly annoying .

I was I'll with similar symptoms when a teenager, but then I was fine for about 10 years. I have been gradually getting worse, but very bad for 7 years.

I had a 3 month episode 10 years ago, that involved difficulty walking with just right leg. The chronic disorder started 4 years ago. I had a 10 week reprieve during the first 6 months. I tried to return to work, but symptoms returned with no relief since that time.

All my life - as early as I can remember which is being 1 year old. It did come and go when I was younger but I had a very severe period of being unable to move and frequently bedridden for up to 3 months at a time when I was 12 years until 17 years. Now I am late 30's and it has been getting worse for the past 10 years to the point where I am now unwell enough to have to be forced to retire at 38. However I have done more than most able bodied individuals with my life so I am going out at the top of my industry which has left me very proud and with happy memories (well the ones I can remember anyway!)

already answeredthis saying mine began after surgery but belive di had had it longer, my neurologist confirmed last week that I have had symptoms since about 10 years old that became increasingly troublesome and more in the 10 years leading up to surgery and illness that was then followed by my first siezures only then was it diagnosed.
