Hello my name is Vanessa and i'm 20. I'm very newly diagnosed after months of limb weakness, drop attacks and serve pain. I am starting new painkillers and physio therapy soon. My boyfriend and I love to travel but can't seem to find this condition on any travel insurance websites. Has anyone had problems or is it even possible to get travel insurance? All comments welcome, thanks

Travel insurance for FND?
I'd be interested in answers too. my dad lives in Canada and was diagnosed with Alzheimers this year and I don't think he'll be able to travel for much longer. this will mean that I'll be doing the travelling so will need insurance too.
Hi
Im sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Mine was only a few weeks ago too.
I just started to look at insurance for a trip as well and you are correct that none of the sites I have found recognise the condition. My intention is to call companies directly to get a better answer.
I will let you know if I get any further in the week.
Best Wishes X
recently I had been neglected for loosing my job insurance which was due to FND
conversion disorder.
Hi Vanessa,
I phoned a company called 'Allsafe' from a search on comparethemeerkat.com. U.K.: 01376 809174
They listed the medical condition as a conversion disorder.
As I am still waiting for further test results they did mention that any medical issue that occurred from these tests wouldn't be covered, but I am happy to accept that for a little trip away to Italy.
I hope this helps. Happy travelling X
