pip: hi im having my pip assessment... - Functional Neurol...
pip
It's about an hour's assessment but I had welfare rights team help me prepare and accompany me. They gave me beforehand a descriptor list really which headlines each of the questions on PIP form and I had to give answers based on that. I had a mini physical but as my condition waxes and wanes it was really ok on the day but I only just missed an award and I have my tribunal on the 9th of February but I hear that a lot of people with fnd have to take their claims to tribunal. My advice is get a welfare worker to help you as even though I used to work in welfare they know things out with the knowledge of us. I strongly recommend joining a Facebook group called FND Hope where lots of people share their experiences with benefit claims etc really helped me. The assessment was OK though better than ESA assessment in my experience.
hi i hope you get it hun , its horrible when your really ill, but dont look like it sometimes , do you have to get an esa next
best wishes

Hi Carol,
Answers are scored in this way :
benefitsandwork.co.uk/pip/i...
Please note the info at top of page, that you need to be able to do the tasks mentioned repeatedly, within a reasonable time frame and bear in mind your fatigue/pain levels etc. So your answers should reflect how you would perform on your worst days : )
Please be aware that many people ( even those with a specific medical diagnosis other than FND ) often get turned down first time round and have to appeal - so don't be put off if you are declined first time, it is common.
Best of luck,
