It can take up to 16 weeks. I'd suggest calling them and asking where they are at. It can take less time though.

Hi, I can't remember how long my 2nd one took but it was backdated, my first was a disaster until a charity helped us do forms correctly, as in seizure when concentrating was unable to do first one properly, hope this helps.

Thank you Lisa Anne, I'm guessing it can be a long progress πŸ˜€ This is my 2nd attempt, first time I was undiagnosed and only took two weeks for decision so am guessing now I'm diagnosed they might be more thourugh this time πŸ˜€

My first one I too was undiagnosed and my partner answered questions for me. I got 2 points, the one done properly with charity, I had diagnosed and lots of letters, also I only got it last December as had left it as didn't know I was entitled to it through being unable to answer questions. 😊

I'm dreading having to go for the assesment again, it's very intimidating , last time I scored 6 points.. I did not know you can score points if someone else answers for you, as my partner answered for me also but didn't receive points for it 😬

I think it's good if you can take someone with you as it is stressful and I know I was struggling with understanding simple questions and getting them right but the guy could tell I was stressed and that was affecting my answers. My FND came out to play that day. But if you have someone with you they might remember things that you don't 😊
