Hello again,

Well, here we are, final planned cystoscopy yesterday and thankfully still no tumours to see.

The care shown to me by the Urollogy team at Wansbeck hospital seems to be paying off for me. I shall be for ever grateful.

Next stage is another cysto in 6 months followed by annual cysto for the rest of my life, to check for any recurring tumours in the future.

As a 75 year old I suggested that cystoscopy a year for the next 40 years would be quite expensive for the NHS!

So far it has been a long slog and I am very aware that I have been very lucky in being able to tolerate the BCG washes. But to all who are about to embark and those already on this amazing rollercoaster of a ride I would say keep the faith, trust your health team and work hard to evict the unwelcome lodger in your bladder.

Life is sweet and well worth fighting for. Good luck to you all.

The fight continues.

David.

That is excellent new. Praise be to God.

I start my course of BCG a week on Wednesday , my faith will see me through and my strength to tolerate it will be with the trust off the team and the love of God .

Blessings to all x

I have been nearly eleven years now without recurrence. No chemo,no radio, only tumour removal.I have had cystoscopies up until January of this year.

I wish you all the same good fortune.

Hello,

Thanks for your kind remarks.

Just had a consultant's letter to say that lab results are showing no evidence of any malignant cells.

Wow.

Better than I had hoped.

We shall see what the future brings.

Meanwhile, next planned cystoscopy due in March next year..

Possibly, now instead of 1 day at a time I may be able to try for 1 week at a time without recurrence.

Any way I'm going with the flow.....

As always, keep the faith and good luck to you all.

David
