I received a letter saying i owed our local council £60 for rent. Well, i was quite indignant as my rent is paid fortnightly through direct debit. In debt, inddeed. the kind receptionist at the office allowed me to speak to the sender of the letter. Look here says i, with all the appeals and wotnot, i have less money to live on. It's not right. He explained, slowly, all the figures involved, like he was talking to a numpty. I felt a numpty when the penny clicked that the benefit had been reduced. The DWP had informed them of my income after appeal. I decided to bite my tongue and not say too much. LOL
