It's been a revelation for my poor old body! I've been having treatment with a master chiropractor for a month, starting with two sessions a week and now once a week. I have found someone who actually knows about fibromyalgia and the affect on the body. What a relief that was, but not nearly as much a relief as my body is now experiencing. My muscles were so tightly overworked and my nerve alarms ringing so loudly, that it's no wonder I was suffering so much. With incredible knowledge and skill this young person has begun to change my life. To feel so physically loose is amazing. My pain levels have dipped so much, in fact if I could do the same for the fatigue, I would almost consider myself 'normal'!! But even my energy levels have altered as my pain has subsided.
I do realise that this is a very personal result for me and that others of you have more health conditions to add to the mix. But I wanted to share my relief firstly because it may help someone out there in blogland, and secondly because I'm so pleased with my good fortune, I could pop!!!!
Wishing you all warm cwtches, S xxx

Aaah, thank you both! It's a case of 'slow and steady wins the race'. But I am winning my own personal 'race' with the help of Charlie, my chiropractor. I will keep you updated, as it's bound to have twists and turns(no pun intended!), as other factors come and go. X
Hi Moffy, Im off to see my physio this afternoon, to start a session of acupuncture. I have had treatment before at one of the chinese shops, but that was a couple of years ago. . At the time, my neck was so painful, I couldnt move it and I had a constant head ache, and couldnt sleep because of the pain. The treatment really worked, but after a while my neck and shoulder pains have crept back, tho not as bad as before. I am at my lowest at this point, both physically and mentally,(part of which is the worry of waiting for months for an ESA appeal date which is on the 2nd of April and Im dreading it!) and Im really hoping this lot of treatment is gonna help. I was a little anxious about going again, Im not the biggest needle fan!( I must say it doesnt hurt, its just the thought of it ) but having just read your blog, I am feeling a lot better about going. Its great to hear of some positive results, especially as ive had so many tests for things that always come back negative, its like banging my head off a brick wall!.I hope the result lasts a very long time for you,and at least you know what to do if thing start going the wrong way again, and hopefully I ll enjoy some of the success you,ve had. I would encourage anyone to try acupuncture, and Ill let you kno in a couple of weeks if its had the desired effect for me again this time .x
