Dear Suzy,
I am so sorry you a feel you are struggling on to keep working.
If I may can I suggest a pain relief cream that may be of help if you are not usually a person sensitive to medications.
Have you ever tried using a prescribed pain relief cream called Capasacin Cream.
Capasacin cream is known to reduce Substance P , a substance which is excitable when you feel pain. Research has shown that people with Fibromyalgia have 3 times the amount of Substance P than healthy people do.
I found it very beneficial and thought I would mention it out of interest. Link below
nhs.uk/medicine-guides/page...
Please be aware that for people that are sensitive to medications, this may be something that should be avoided. Capasacin is made from Capiscum pepper and you must be careful when using avoiding eyes as it is similar to pepper spray.
I hope the pain eases soon

Hi Emma
i would like to find out more about this, but your link isn't working, it just come up as 'bad request' !. In the post above I can't see the whole url, so I can't even type it in myself. Could you re-post it please? Or spell it out in full?
Thanks
I'm very sensitive to capsicum in peppers. When cutting them for cooking my skin feels like its on fire and comes out in a rash so I don't think I'll try that thanks anyway
Good Morning to you too, Suzy
I hope your day improves as it goes on.
I find beginning and end of the day are usually worse for pain, and it subsides in between. I too struggle to keep on working, but at the moment it's definitely better than the alternative!
Take care
xx
Tried Epsom yup
Day just got worse too just phoned DVLA as they're deciding if I can keep my licence as I've lost my peripheral vision due to my MCTD. I applied on 28th Aug. just been told its been referred to senior advisor and will be another 12 weeks
I can't think about changing jobs til I know if I can keep my licence.
SuzyB forgive me if I have the wrong person are you the lady who is doing a reflexology course so that you could possibly work from home ... My brain retains things but not always about the right person.... If you are I really hope you get your qualification and can have your stress levels reduced by working from home at something you love and would be an added bonus with you not having to drive to work...
I am really hoping I have the right person and if I have it all works out for you to cut your stress levels help with driving and do a job you love
Fingers crossed

I am VG yes. However my OH has just said he won't support me changing jobs as he said I have to stay in a high stress high demand job to earn enough to support us as a family in case he wants to change jobs. Charming. I wouldn't mind but I did that for 4 mths last year & he's perfectly healthy
