I'm trying to sum up the energy to go and have blood tests done so that when I get an appointment to see a rheumy they should have the latest results of blood tests... spoke to my GP last week (telephone appt) apologised profusely for having to cancel the last blood tests booked as I had a major flare (this was triggered by the death of my father on Dec 1st) my doc says she thinks i have Fibro but wants me to see a Rheumy to confirm or diagnose RA (and or?) and now.... Carpal Tunnel Syndrome has struck in my left hand! even for a right-handed person, I didn't realise how much I relied on my left hand too! I try to craft every day and the only thing I can manage (just about is to crochet) btw Libs, how are you getting on with it? have you started yet? and now my period is here and Oh no!! its so heavy and the cramps are so painful.... I'm only (only!) 42 but after 32 years and no longer needing to actually have them, I wish someone would develop a short course of pills that would stop them!! plus what with the pills I take for the achey painy body, you'd think that some pain relief would be diverted for just a little bit but no, nada, nyet, no-way pedro!! OK then, rant over, sorry for the moan and wishing you all a good week
gentle hugs and kind thoughts

hi LeeLarLou, i saw my hand dr about carpel tunnel and hes sending me for a M.R.I. 14 feb, don't think it is that, all to do with my neck which is all down to fibro, got it in both wrists and thumbs and fingers, hugs to the bits that don't hurt xx
I know what you mean... i had it when pregnant and it was different to how it feels now but at the base of my left thumb if you press it gently it seems to pop/move a tendon/vein from left to right... I'm happy to get a support at the mo and see how that goes but Doc has said that if wrist support doesn't help then she is happy to give me an injection.. (cortisone?) so atm its a case of wait & see.
Hope you get the help/care than you need druss (gentle hugs back to you too)
Hi guys, have made an appointment for blood tests tomorrow (Wed) re no appetite and IBS and feeling very very tired not to mention some trigger points in my legs and hips...etc etc. you all know what I mean. This together with other tests should give me some idea of what is happening apart from losing it totally - not really just feels that way with the messy house etc. Thanks guys for your support and advice. Will update after appointment with the Dr.next Monday (already made). Thanks hugs xxxxxx
Hello Lisa my dear, great to see you here, but sorry to hear about your pain etc.
Crochet here has come to a grinding halt since I spoke to you last. Have had too much on my plate to learn more about it, but I will get back to it! My craft bag has been firmly zipped up since before Christmas unfortunately.
I hope you manage to get your bloods done and all the results back in time for your appointment. I know how important your crafts are to you and what an escape from the dreaded Fibro they are for you. To have pain in your hands too is awful.
Try the injection, they can help no end. I had three injections in each elbow (I have Tennis and Golfer's Elbow in both arms) and it helped for a time.
