What has happened to Christmas TV ???? Not only did Arthur die in the last ever series of merlin ..... I was left devastated on Christmas Eve when it ended .... Then on Christmas Day ... Dr Who was such a let down..... Worst one since Kyle Minogue joined him on the titanic... So I took refuge in series 2 of supernatural only to have Sam die and Dean get him his life back in exchange for his own life now Dean only has one year to live , their dad has already died to let Dean live .....the demons were unleashed and no one thought to repair the railway tracks....

Biggest let down for me - The Royle Family! A parody of a parody it just didn't work.. Dont really mind have had the best Xmas for quite a while. Very much hope all can say the same. xx

it got worse VG ... they killed off Matthew in Downton too ...

I was left disapointed with Merlin too and then the killing continued with Downton. Just too depressing for me ... so much for a 'Happy' christmas!!

Was so shocked at Matthew being killed off in Downton what a miserable Xmas story line and it was also filmed in the summer,not xmassy at all! What a let down. All the soaps were miserable too,my fault for watching them I suppose cos they are always like that at Xmas. Hey ho!y

i never understand why the soaps have to be so miserable at christmas , well apart for the ratings war, i don't bother watching them any more as they are so predictable, i wonder how much script writers get paid ?

I haven't watched a soap in years too boring and miserable so avoided them hoping for some light hearted relief in merlin and dr who.... But no...... I seriously wish the tv licence was scrapped and you could just pay to watch the BBC programmes you wanted to watch would save me a fortune each year, as I really watch so little on BBC

Same here VG. I could think of far better things to spend £150 on!!

Now my new fish tank is up and running (they've all started having babies now too!) I spend more hours watching the angel fish gliding around than I do staring at the telly. It's far more interesting than any of the soaps ... although I am missing Home and Away and my daily drool at that Braxton brothers

Well my biggest let down was the Royle family, so pathetic, I think Caroline Aherne had a good one for the first time she wrote it, but ever since they have been so.....so.......cannot even find the words. At least Mrs Browns Boys delivered the goods lol xxxxx

Yes I was very disapionted too that Merlin ended the way it did ??? and sad that its now not going to be on anymore !!!! because it cannot be the same ??????
