had hair cut off....: (
Im so sorry u have had to go to such drastic lengths, I have always had short hair, but even so, I still have problems drying my hair! invest in good straighteners jobs done in mins! I have found life much easier since I have treated myself to some GHD's I never thought they would be any better than some cheaper ones but they have cut my time on my hair right down!
I have seen since that you can buy a stand that u can put ur hairdryer on and all u have to do is sit in front of it and it acts as your arm, which might b another option for people out there that are still suffering with long hair drying time....
hugs! and you never know it could be the start of a new you!!! xx
I gave in at the summer and my shoulder length bob is now short and layered, my hairdresser did such a good cut i can dry it by hand no messing about with brush
You will get used to it but it's sad not cutting it from choice
VGx
thank you...Never thought about a stand I usually rest my elbow on the cooker lid lol not very hygienic i know but it works sort of in a fashion.
thanks again hugs to you xx : )
Sorry to hear this, your stronger than me as i wont, I try to only wash my hair once maybe twice and the rest of the time i use Batista dry shampoo. Some of they ways i use are to let it dry natura;y for most of the time then dry and style the last bit or as i have been teaching my daughter is to lie on the bad and let your hair hang over and dry it that way as she struggles . Phoebe has beautiful long blond hair that is unbelievsanly thick, it is already near her middle back i struggle to dry hers hence teaching her to do it by herself. Considering she is in swimming squad 3 nights a week as well as school swimming and her swimming lessons she really needs to learn my arms can't take it.
Sorry to ramble on, hope you get used to it soon, take care xxxx
Your not rambling on at all, that brings back memories the swimming squad i use to swim every night after school i loved it. as for my hair well it grows quick thank fully, i wish it was naturally straight but unfortunately it is extremely wavey so leaving it to try on its own well i would end up looking like the wild women of boneo lol....i will get use to it
xxx
I can sympathise as I had mine cut short only a few weeks ago (I think - sorry can't remember exactly when!). There is a difference between cutting it as a style choice and cutting it because you can't cope with it anymore isn't there. I can't hold a hairdryer so it has to dry naturally no matter how long it is, the main difference is that now I'm not crying in pain trying to brush out the tangles every day, which is of course a good thing.
People keep telling me it looks really nice short but I MISS my long hair, its been really well cut, but no amount of brilliant cutting makes up for that. I suppose I'm resigned to having it short but it's not done any favours to how I feel about myself, which was never good in the first place. I hope you manage to come to terms with your new cut soon. xxx
I will and it does grow quite quick so that helps, wished it was naturally straight then i could of just washed it and left it to dry on its own but it is wild its very wavey , all this to cope with this horrid condition. never mind ey?
take care vikki xx
Thankfully mine grows fast too and it also has a mind of its own why is one of the reasons I like it long. When its short, it usually curls under at one side and sticks out at the other! My Grandmother used to say "What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over" - so I'm not looking too closely!
I too have just had all my hair cut off!!! I cannot wash, dry, straghten. It is so short I need do nothing to my hair. sometimes you have to do things that will make yur life a little bit pain free. xx
yes this is true and i will get use to it eventually.xx
from waist length to shoulder last week, it had to go, one last pain to get rid off............and I survived.
omg well done to you....x
I have not use a hairdryer for about ten years now. I let it dry naturally. As for shampooing, I do that once a week and the rest of the week I just put bubbles in the bath and emmerse myself in xxxxx
your lucky to be able to do that as like i say my hair is not straight so leaving it to dry is out the question i would look like i had been pushed throuugh a hedge backwards lol xxx
my hair is shoulder length now....always had a really short, shaved head - not too short though - and I loved it!! Trouble is my hair has a mind of its own and I used to have to do it every day, but that's out of the question now!! I'd love to go short again but as I'm a rather large lady I don't want to look like a pea on a potato!!! XXX
lol i bet that is not the case x
