I know what your going through with the effects of sleep and having awful nightmares it's horrible waking up traumatised.I was told it's sleep apnea by my neurologist.i can't give you advice about weaning off the tablets but if it's having bad side effects go and see your doctor because you shouldn't be feeling like that hope you start to feel better soon and stay positive that's how we fibro sufferer's get though letme know how you get on 💐
Thanks Maccs, yes it’s an awful condition.I was an energetic lady, playing golf, working as a nurse until last July, and wham, life changed .The Consutant put me on Duloxetin,it seemed okay at first ,you then read all the reports about it,and I do not wish to carry on as it will be even more difficult later on.
My Gp is telephoning next week,he has been away and I did not wish to speak to anyone else, but might try a pharmacist tomorrow.
I do seem to have problems with many meds they have tried me on.
Bless hope you get a result I'm only 46 with 2 children and it's hard and half of the time I'm a zombie with all the meds pain and suffering but some how I find strength daily keep me updated ❤️
CBD oil has helped me more than anything along with gentle water exercise and a hot water bottle. I take Lyrica the lowest dose possible. Take care and be gentle with yourself. Try not to power through getting better because that in itself causes stress and more pain. Plan your days including how many steps it takes to get from here to there and make it as efficient as you can to get more done. Take care and I hope you feel better. All the best.
The discontinuation syndrome for Duloxetine is supposed to be one of the worst. Many docs don't know that, and follow advice to get a patient off over 2 weeks - may be too quick.
Hi there I'm on deloxtine an i am great on it been few years now and I'm on 60mg 2 times a day in sup pose it's different people then I wouldn't be without it x
I have never been on that drug as far as I can remember which isn’t saying much but I would talk to your pharmacist (or chemist) in regards to weaning off of the duloxetin. I have consulted a lot of pharmacists over the years and I don’t think there was a drug that I had to when off still didn’t have physical withdrawal symptoms. But after a week or two being off that drug I started to feel normal again. Now if I needed that drug the symptoms came back that it was treating. I hope all goes well well for you. Hugs 🤗💕🦋
