My GP neuro exam...

Well I'm home. And I was right my left side is not strong at all especially below the waist. I could barely lift my knee when sitting and the feet tests she kept doing over and over to try and get a response so now I'm really sore! She couldn't explain my my eyes feel like they are vibrating in the morning ... She said she had never heard of this.

I have been referred to see a neurologist consultant now. Quite anxious but predominant feeling at the moment is ow!

I always say we know when something is wrong and I think we endeavour to get things checked rather than let anyone blame it on the fibro. I was having severe balance problems, so severe I spent more time on the floor than I did on my feet. My GP said he did not think it was the fibro and he referred me to neuro. Neuro is so fast in and through that you do not know what has hit you. I took him a list of my symptoms of the last two years that did not fit with Fibro. Within weeks I had nerve tests and MRIs, showing nothing of significance and they cannot explain why certain things are happening to me. One explanation is the balance problems of fibro linked with the balance problems of menieres and worsening deafness. So there is a fibro link there. I was goingto ask is it just your eyes feel like they are vibrating or does your vision actually jump up and down to the beat of the vibration so to speak? But I do hope they find out what it is, my first thoughts were Nystagmus but if the eyes are not physically moving then it would not be that. It could be that the nerves around your eyes are 'buzzing' or fizzing as I call it. It does feel like a vibration, much like the ones fibro sufferers get in the limbs. Good luck xxxxx

My eyes feel like they are vibrating from side to side but I don't feel my field of vision actually move. However I do struggle to look at a scrolling screen or text as I get nauseas at the moment. It may well be the nerves but feels like the eye I hadn't thought of that.. I do fell so,etching isn't right like you say. You never WANT something wrong with you but you want an explanation. Especially with the sensation of water down your legs...I keep checking if I peed myself lol.

Going to lie down now...fell I've been battered!

Thank you for the reply...it's good to hear from someone with the experience elredy x

Its difficult with Gp's n physio they pass you round all wanting some sort of answers as i been there.

Have you had any MRI's ?

I too was bad and when asked move this leg or that arm i would be i am!!

Neurologist is where i got to, so fingers crossed you get some answers soon.

The vision not sure with as i have many things even like am looking through a glass fish bowl is how can explain like a thick magnifying glass

I get a white cloudy look and blurry vision but thankfully no vision loss.

So a Neurologist or think opthalmist? Should be able help?

Well the neurologist referral has been made and I think I would e sensible to go and get a really good thorough eye test with all the bells and whistles to present to them to get this box ticked. I havnt had any MRI's done despite pleading because of my years of back pain (since I was 16). I'm infor a rough night I think. Had to crack open the morphine and currently got legs and back wrapped in heat mats...snapped at the husband earlier as well and have a bad headache. Cor I am a wet sponge this evening lol.

Thank you for your care xx

If i get up too soon my eyes can feel wobbly and I can get migraines. I've put it down to a cortisol thing. Not enough cortisol floating around to wake up properly. That's why I don't do anything in the morning. I though it was a common symptom? Maybe its more an ME thing then?

I had a 24 hr urine test 2 years ago to look at cortisol but no probs detected. Interesting though...maybe I'm not a morning person for a reason lol!
