Does anyine else find that the worst pain moves about? So far It's gone through both shoulders, right knee & ankle - currently in my left hip an d knee whic is shockingly painful since last night - my usual meds are not working on this pain. Let me know what you think - another housebound day for me.

try heat.....I find heat pads work ,well ease the pain a little....I use a hot water bottle for my back and have a wheat wrap that you put in the microwave for my neck and shoulders i find the heat eases it for a little while. as for your hips knees and ankle you could try a warm bath see if that will help. other that have a look through the blogs and see if there is anything on them to help.

Yes, my pain moves around too. I think that is fairly common with Fibro I'm afraid. I never know which bits will hurt most when I wake up! As Vikki suggests hot wheat bags can help and sometimes very gentle excercise can help the joint loosen up a bit too. If your medication is not helping, you might need to review them with your GP as they might be able to find something more effective for you. There are lots of suitable alternatives available. It's very usual for our pain to shift around and roam all over our bodies. The pain can vary in intensity too, throbbing, red hot pains, shooting pains, tingling etc. Sometimes when one pain subsides another starts.

When I saw my first Rheumatologist he said he'd never seen pain move around the body so quickly (3 places of excruciating pain within the space of 2 hours). Needless to say I asked to see someone else lol
