Can someone please tell me what happens at an ESA Tribunal. I really do not know what to expect and I am getting increasingly distressed about this.

Thank you Liberty
My pleasure, happy to help any time!
I hope you manage to get some rest tonight and that you feel better tomorrow.
Hi Jus Jac Have you got someone who is going with you eg a representitive (someone profesional)? I had mine this year in may, ill be honest its not a very nice experiance at all!!. thats why its good to take some1 with you. There will be 3 people a doctor a man who asks you loads of questions about ur day to day life and he types everything down, and some1 else but carnt remember wat she was for. They just bombard you with questions from ur applications. Thats wat they did with me. At the end of mine was horrible the man looked at me like he was almost smiling and said we have made a decision but we are not going to tell you there will be a letter in the post!!!!!. Needless to say i got turned down but i reapplied straight away, so if you do get bad news hun just reapply straight away ok!! I have since been for another assesment but this time after almost 3 years of appling ive now been awarded ESA and put into the support group and i dont have to be reassesed till march 2014.So dont despair keep going dont give up. Good luck, and when your telling them every day is a bad day!!!!!! soft hugs and fingers crossed for ya. xxx
Hi luvmybabies
Yes I have a representative going with me. I went to see him yesterday. I wrote a blig about my experience so if you can? have a read at it. It was not a pleasant experience to say the least.
He says its his job to prove the assessment carried out cos nowhere was I asked about my mental health. My first claim with ESA was in May 2009 for Depression/Anxiety & Panick Attacks. I was only diagnosed with Fibromyalgia this year. He said I should have made a fresh claim for that. I did'nt know that or if I really should have. Time will tell.
I have the full support of my Doctor & if I have to appeal or start a new claim I will use CAB.
This is my first time gojng through all thjs. I worked flr 30 yrs but now it would be impossible for me to hold down a job.
I wish I coukd work & have back the bubbly me instead of the nervous quiverk g wreck I became & now have Fibromyalgia thrown into the mix.
Thank you Ilovemybabies you are a stro g person & it must be hard with kids. Enjoy them while they are young cos they grow up way too fast these days.
Hugs
Jackie
