Does anyone else suffer from psoriasis as well as fibro
I've developed skin rashes which come and go - thought it may be psoriasis but is dermatitis, think I am sensitive to chemicals now and feel it is definately linked to fibromyalgia.
Hi Reflections, i've had psoriasis since a child and was diagnosed as having fibrocystis years ago, which is now called fibromyalgia.

I have vasculitis which breaks out quite often. Small blister/pustules that break out on my arms and hands mainly. Wasn't sure if it's related to fibro??
Hi Sue57,
I don't think it is psoriasis as you have dry itchy sacley patches all over with psoriasis.

I have psoriasis and have had for about 5-6 yrs. I have also been told that i have psoriatic arthritis. At the moment it is really bad and have just started using coal tar on it. Not sure yet but it seems a bit itchier than normal so not sure if it is helping. As with everything trial and error so will see how it goes.
Hi Tiddlyf,
Sorry i didn't reply to your message which you blogged yesterday.
I think you may be allergic to coal tar, as i was given coal tar when i was first diagnosed with psoriasis and like you itched more than ever.
I now have a cream which i use once a day, (i put cream on at bedtime as it is greasy as so stains clothes.
The name of cream is= calcipotriol+betamethasone dipropionate oint 0.005%+0.05%.
It helps a little but as i'm sure you know, there is no cure for psoriasis.
I also use T-gel shampoo twice a week, although this is coal tar based it doesn't affect my scalp (you should be able to get this on prescription, as it is quite expensive, but you only need to use a little)
I hope this helps you.
Do you find that your psoriasis is worse when you have a bad flare up of arthritis, which is usually in the winter, also i'm sure you will know that psoriasis is made worse with stress, but how do you avoid stress?
