pregabilin Vs Gabapentin

i had very severe side effects from pregab and have just started gabas but not feeling any effect and worried they will make me really ill like pregabs, has anyone had similar thing and what meds work best for staying asleep thru the pressure pains?? from a new fibromite,xxx

I have been on Gabapentin since 1999. I have never had any side effects from it. Sleep, that's something I don't get much of any more. I have Fibro and Parkinsons, my Dr. gave me a medication that helps me go to sleep, it's not a sleeping pill. Because I never stay asleep for very long, it's usually for 2 to 3 hrs. Hope this helps.

I too had terrible side effects on pregabalin but they have all gone since im on gabapentin admitadly im on a low dose at the moment but so far im fine the only problem i have with gabapentin is im hungry all the time !!!

i was on gabapentin but it wasnt helping me at all , well apart from giving me bad headaches and a dry mouth , the pregabalin though seems to help me more , its lowered the amount of twitching and electric like jolts i get by 10% ok i still have to put up with the dry mouth and headaches but for me its worth it , although im just starting a slightly higher dose and its made me a tad spaced out but im hoping that will ease off in a few days , hope the gabapentin works for you hun

Never been on pregabalin ... i think ! but babapentin gives me severe headaches. I hope you don't get any side effects it's so gutting when you try a new medication and it reacts with you so i really hope it helps.
