Hi Guys

I have had Fibro for the last three and a half year and have found that over time my symptoms have been increasing. Over the last few weeks I have been getting pain in my lower jaw, it can get so sore that I have difficulty eating or talking. My jaw also makes loud clicking sound which has woken me up from a sleep!! Is this another symptom of Fibro??

Gentle hugs to all

im not totally sure, but since i have had this fibro my jaw has been clicking, its worse when i eat a roll, but i do get numbness on my right side and pins a needles in fact my right side causes me to go of balance as it makes me have like little turns, only for a few seconds , but in that time if i go to turn i loose my balance , i did it not long ago and cracked one of my vertibry in my back, suex

I get this and my dentist has referred me for evaluation for TMJ- transmandibular joint syndrome, it could be worth checking with your dentist, he says mine is quite bad, I think it may be a fibro thing too but am not sure,

good luck, Cazx

Many people with Fibromyalgia must also face the pain caused by temporomandibular joint disorder, an illness that affects the muscles and joints in the face. TMJ disorder can cause a variety of uncomfortable symptoms, including nausea, headache, dizziness, and jaw difficulties. About 90% of Fibromyalgia sufferers are thought to experience facial and jaw pain, and a large number of these probably have TMJ disorder. Diagnosis of TMJD can sometimes be difficult, especially for those who already have Fibromyalgia.

I've noticed pain in my jaws too especially when eating a chewy toffee.

I use a tooth guard at night because my jaws seem to spasm and I can bite the inside of my cheeks quite badly.

So yet another symptom!xxx
