HI NOT BEEN ON FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS FIRSTLY PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFULL OF YOUR MEDS,
I WAS PUT ON CARBIMAZOL FOR NEURALGIA AND OVERLAPPED BY ONE 100MG TABLET AND WAS ON MY OWN AT THE TIME AND WITHIN AN HOUR I WAS HUGGING MY BACK DOOR AND WAS SO WORRIED I WAS GOING TO PASS OUT
THIS FEELING LASTED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS ON AND OFF
I HAVE A VERY HIGH TOLERANCE OF MED DRUGS BUT THIS BLEW ME AWAY A PERSON WITH A LOWER TOLERANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN SERIOUS TROUBLE
PLEASE PLEASE CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR MEDS FOR CONTRADICTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS BEFORE YOU START TAKING NEW ONES,
I KNOW YOU GUYS ARNT STUPID BUT JUST WANTED TO PUT THIS OUT THERE
LOVE TO ALLXXXSTEPH

you can ask your pharmacy for a contreindication review if in doubt
A very important piece of advice thank you Brindlelion! We should all make sure we only take the prescribed dose of all our medications. If we are prone to forgetting how many tablets we've already taken and when, there are wonderful daily tablet holders where you can put all your meds in for a week at say breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime on any given day you'll know how many tablets you still have left to take. They're a great idea for someone like me who has a terrible memory!
So relieved you are ok Brindlelion! Take care and thanks again for bringing this to all our attention.
My doctor gave me co codamol which reacts bad with another med im on.
Docs gave me both didnt warn me or nor should not have given me both together.
Fella read leaflet and it said in capitals not to take both tablets together.scared hell out of me.so i dont now.
Hi omg how frightening for you. you expect the Dr to know what drug react badly with other drugs. I very rearly look at the notes that you get in medication as i think if the Dr's given it to me it will be ok, but after what you and Sammy have said i'll be more carfull. Soft hugs and thanks xx
I had an opperation on the 1st of june (last month) and the surgen (doctor) at the hospital gave me some tablets to take in the morning, and told me to carry on takeing them till end of augest, i was discharged from hospital and took the tablets the following morning as told and every morning for over 2 weeks, in this time my breathing had got really bad and fighting to breath, i suffer with asthma and COPD, i got an ermengcey appointment with my asthma nurse she gave me steriods 6 aday, for 5 days but i just wasent getting better i managed to get an appointment with my regular doctor with the help of my asthma nurse and i took the tablets with me, he said it clearly states in my notes that i have had a reaction to this tablet before and they should never have prescribed me them, he said it could have been fatal, my tounge had also swollen and was spending the day and nite on my nebulizer . My asthma nurse who knows me very well, phoned me up a couple of days after seeing me to make sure i was ok, and she told me over the phone that she was very worried when she saw me as she said my colouring was an ash grey ....... all i no it was very frightning for me and my partner, i thought i was on my way out !!!
glad you are on the mend jackie, i just think it was important to share my expiriance with everyone here, im on over a hundred tablets aweek and ive got a tablet organiser so i had to take the carbimazol when needed just didnt expect that reaction!!! anyway onward and upward!

Thanks brindlelion, I've had really frightening experiences when drugs have been contraindicated due to interactions. As lally says, the pharmacist is often the best person to ask about this. Now, I always ask when I'm put on anything new.
Yes thankgod i am ok and you too steph, but what terrifying experience's to go through,
we all put our trust and faith in the medical profession, and believe they no best, but not always the case. I to take 30+ tablets aday(nearer 40) my partner puts my meds in little pots all ready for me, which really helps, take care loadsa love and gentle hugs jackie xxxxxx
