BUrbling?

My comp has just started making a strange water sound it is like bubbles underwater every time I stop typing it starts again weird - confused xgins

get yourself a spare usb or mini hard drive in asda etc and if you are not sure how to download your stuff one of us will walk you through i dont want to alarm you but it may be dying on you and if you save everything you can load it up on another comp or laptop . if it dies on you all will be lost if was software(programmmes) or a virus it would affect what you are reading and poss switch on and off but only hardware makes a noise and it sounds like your hard drive may be going ... i am not a genius on these things just logic hope this helps petal

Hi I'm pretty clued up on computers. I would agree with Faded Blossom, it sounds like your hard drive is on its way out. You either need to clone your drive, or back up everything you can as soon as possible, as although it could keep on like this for a few days, maybe longer, one day it just won't boot up and you will have lost everything.

Fitting a new drive in a tower computer is easy enough, and I'd be happy to talk you through it. However if it is a laptop that's a lot more fiddly, and a repair shop might be a better bet
