Hi Bobajob
I have had fibro for 8 years, I was diagnosed by a Rheumatologist who told me that there was no cure at the time for Fibromyalgia he then sent me to a pain clinic which had a phsycology clinic attached. The phsycologist assessed me as being in sound mind and therefore discharged me. The pain clinic doctor who was very clever and also knew quite a lot about Fibromyalgia advised me to pace myself, she told me to do something easy and then have a rest for at least half an hour and then do something else etc etc etc. I was told me not to exercise as this could exacerbate the condition, she told me that Fibromyalgia is a very complex condition and is not fully understood within the medical community. Unfortunately I had to move and therefore could not retain this Pain Doctors help.
