Cheers you up when you're feeling down ?

For me it's a naughty bit of chocolate or a soak in the bath :)

Laughing at my son pretending to be Roger Federer with my dad's tie around his head for a headband and using a remote control for a racket (this only happened a couple of hours ago)!

in reply to Catsrule

MY grandchildren win everytime. I would not be alive today if it wasnt for my Grand daughter. I could see no point in living. Then she was born and I knew I was meant to live..in chronic pain yeah, but living when she is around x

Oh I`m such a sad sack, but I don`t have children so no grandchildren.

But my delight in life is my mental Yorkie. She has such a lovely personality, and everyone new she meets is then a lifelong friend.

But when they leave she insists on checking in bags that they are not making off with the family silver.

When I`m able to visit friends she will make it known she has had enough by dragging my handbag towards the front door. She has no manners LOL.

Other than that, when I`m not dieting a nice big bar of choccie.

I have lost just over a stone so I think this weekend calls for one don`t you?

Love and hugs Butterfly54xxxxx

Oh that's so cute Butterfly , she's your little protector !

My dog also makes me smile when she does daft things ( she's a labby but not the brightest spark lol ).

Enjoy your treat this weekend , sometimes a little choccie can bring some sunshine :)

My Grandchildren or until i see them my old movies.

It's lovely to hear how children and grandchildren can bring joy into lives. Certainly over the years my youngest especially has done some things that have had me roaring with laughter . His autism means he always speaks his mind and while he doesn't always say the most appropriate thing you can be sure he always means what he says !

He once told me I look quite young....... from a distance........ lol.

Hugs

I got something similar from my autistic daughter, "Mum, it's not that bad, you only feel like your falling apart, and you are old you know"!

in reply to pottydog

You can always rely on them to be honest at least lol.

Lol

My son has a dry sarcastic sense of humour which i love but when he is drunk its even funnier.

One day he had an afternoon of drinking with his mates for one of their birthdays.

He came home quite early and wanted to carry on drinking with me, well im not a keen drinker so i sent him next door to my neighbour and he was singing to her "lyns the best neighbour i know and i love her so " she was in stitches she is in her late 50's.

Anyway when she tried to get him home over the back fence he fell, so i tried to help him up and he looked at me and said" if you lose a bit of weight you could do so much better in your love life"

Well we was in stitches and next day lyn told him what he said and he couldnt look me in the eye when he apologised.

But it was things like that, that made me love him all the more.

Ha ha Kia , bless him !

Dogs are great company aren't they? I have a mad black lab, he had a bit of a rough start in life and arrived at our home a nervous wreck, 12 years ago now. He's been worth his weight, and then some, in gold, making us laugh, giving us a whiskery sniff and sneeze when we feel a bit gloomy.

My kids make me laugh too, no grandchildren yet, that sounds like fun!

I stick a recording of a fishing programme on, (A Passion for Angling), not because I fish but because Bernard Cribbens does the voice over and it's so soothing! The fishermen are funny too, Chris Yates is calmness itself! All that wonderful evokative filming, mists, quiet calm, country villages and candlelight, wellington boots and wicker baskets, rickety pushbikes and brollies. Bliss.
