Does anyone find that their skin is more sensitive physically? I've noticed lately that I blister a lot easier and when I wear shoes that I have previously worn and don't need wearing into, I get cuts. I wanted to play with my niece and nephew on the weekend so went on the slides with them but have puns my skin has torn and feel extremely sore.

Are you hypermobile? Some people with hypermobility (a risk factor for developing Fibro) also have delicate skin. Skin involvement is one of the possible criteria for diagnosing Hypermobility Syndrome.
I bruise easily and the bruises take weeks to go now
Yes bruise easily thought it was just old age
I am bruising all the time, my gran daughter and i compare how many we both have. I always have more than she does and she is only 4yrs so bumping something all the time. I am new to this site and find it very interesting. I am glad I joined
I have always bruised easily but the last few months my skin is super sensitive. I cant settle on normal bedding anymore, it feels rough and scratchy although its not. I now sleep on a soft fleece and cover my self with the other half other wise its like my skin is on fire.
And i keep finding scratches and cuts on me that i have no idea where they come from.
So guess the answer is yes.
xx
Hi i have fibro and alot of other conditions too. I get very itchy all around my body and end up with cuts and deep scratches all over. Plus does anyone have dry skin especially under your feet it drives me mad. I am constantly putting mouisteriser on !!!!
I'm the same as pangelina - itch everywhere, but if I scratch the skin breaks and it gets sore. I also find that just to stroke my skin can hurt.
Yesterday I had to have my 3 monthly Depo jab and it always hurts like hell. Nurse decided to try a skin local anaesthetic and NO PAIN! Can't thank her enough cos it's a BIG needle for that one lol. Is only the skin break that hurts me, which I always find odd.
