my daughter has Fibro and yesterday it was confirmed she has osteoarthritis in every bone in her body, to say she is in agony is not lying.
At the moment she cnanot walk anywhere and we are looking for the above, so she can at least get out of the house,anybody got any ideas or have had experience????

hi debsmum, there is such a wide range of scooters to choose, and it depends on where you want to use it ie., hilly, flat rough ground etc;
I would go to your local mobility centre and get them to talk you through your choices and then you will be able to make a choice where to buy etc;
I am also wondering if you have asked your gP for a referal to the wheelchair service which supplies the appropriate vehical for your daughters use free of charge it takes a couple of weeks to get a call off them as they are pretty busy but they are a big help, its worth a call to see if they can do anything to help
hi debs mum i have rheaumtiod arthristis the best thing if she can is excercise for the osteo arthristis i have a elderly friend and she is riggle with every movement is painful im clinging on to crutches just to keep active but does your daughter get DLA if she does you could get one through the mobility scheme and pay for with disabilty living allowance otherwise try your local mobile centre and try GP and if no look try arthristis care they have a website they can help and advice y for your daughter needs
