Hi, today I had an appointment with a Rheumatologist (waited for so long) – she asked many questions about how long I had had this widespread pain and anything that happened around that time. I let her know that my father had been diagnosed with cancer and I watched him die over the following 5 months, I said it was the worst experience of my life. Although I wasn’t to close to my dad it didn’t mater. Anyway she spoke to me a lot about this, then she done the pressure points test, I jumped at a few, especially round the hips and buttocks, very nerve like pain, the forearms also were a bit wow. My main pain is in my right shoulder blade and the little pressure point in their was again nervy. I also told her the past 2.5 years I have tried and tested many of the medications that are used for fibro, but nothing had worked. Todays visit was to I guess verify that I do have fibromyalgia. She said the drug TRAZODONE would help me sleep and also give me some relief, starting at 50mg. Anyone got any feedback for me on how it is/was for them? Past meds have not helped at all. Many thanks to all, Karen xox
