Tsk, arthritic knees now.

Hi all, went to the docs yesterday to get results after having had xrays on my knees and blood tests. Xrays showed arthritis and some thickening of the ligaments.... hey ho. Did make the doc chuckle when i said...well blow me i've never driven (wouldn't be able to now due to eye disease!!) had to walk everywhere, thought walking would keep me fit and whoosh it stabbed me in the back by giving me wear and tear an my knees.Ironic or what!!! No win there then lol. Awaiting an appt with an osteo to see the best way forward. May involve injections in the knees...eeek, but if it helps then goodo.

Got the shambolic Atos medical in 2 weeks time so something else to put on the list. Am already planning appeal, as last time i went what i told the "doctor" bore no resemblance to what was put on the form. As per a previous post on here, i was in tears of humiliation as he watched me crawl across the floor and try to get up holding onto a chair then said"oh can't you get up sorry i should have helped you". Scored me nil points on the" can get up off the floor unaided" section. I'm wondering if the medicals are any different now, but after reading posts on here am not getting my hopes up. think i'll get the last form out and have a read on all the sections.

And ps while i'm on a venting roll....i went to the medical newly diagnosed with fibro, (so knew very little about it), and with 3 year old thyroid eye disease...double vision, excruciatingly painful eyes to the point i didn't go out for days etc, and the only relevant question was the peripheral vision one where i scored 6. What has lifting arms and legs got to do with eye disease.??Medicals are "one size fits all"....well sorry no it doesn't.

Rant over, went on the ramapage a bit lol, thanks to anyone reading this.

HI lynz, thank you so much, will see how wretched shambolic Atos medical goes...not sounding very hopeful am i lol. and let folk know. more whinging methinks. Still not to worry. re knackered knees...just have to see what osteo says, woman up and get on with treatment.
