Has anyone tried eating a diet with lots of anti inflammatory foods???
A friend has tried it and says it has helped for her.
Been to the shop and got frozen broccoli, cherries, some soya milk and some ginger and lime tea. On the plus side it gives me a good excuse to eat the almonds I have in the house :o)

Sounds like lovely healthy food and likely to make anyone feel better.
But, as Fibro is not an inflammatory condition , I think it must be the general health giving properties of these foods that are making your friend feel better.
Or, she has an inflammatory condition as well as Fibro, which is not unusual.
Good for you both anyway, it's always better to choose healthy options in your diet, I like all of them too!
I have started juicing and have made some delicious healthy drinks which are ant-inflammatory such as apples, carrots, celery, beetroot, grapes and avocado.
Go on-line for the recipes. They do make me feel a lot better....
I decided I needed to lose weight...and fast! so I went on the Lipo - trim diet (grueling) you have 3 shakes per day and lots of water I managed to stick at it for 3 weeks (not long I know but it is really really hard especially when you are a chocolate addict like me) Anyway my point is I never felt better than when I was on this diet, my pain was greatly reduced, I even had a spring in my step (something Ive not had for years) and people actually noticed in my fae that i was feeling better I am convinced that in my case Carbohydrates definitely make my symptoms worse. I have been trying a low carb diet on and off and it does make a difference for me. Unfortunately I find it so hard to diet especially when I am down and depressed because of the pain, I turn to all the wrong foods for comfort. I am working on getting my head around healthy eating and going to try hard to stick to it.
Im not going on a diet as such just adding the good foods and trying to eliminate the bad foods.
Carbs for me have to stay as Im a type 1 diabetic. So I just try to eat only low GI carbs although I still have the chocolate. No point in totally denying it it only makes your cravings stronger.
