I have had shingles 6 times in all the last 2 events were wothin a month of each other. The herpes simplex virus lies dormant in the body until something kicks in and either cold sores are produced or the lovelt shingles, Aciclovir tablets in different strenths are prescribed for shingles and the y have to be taken 5 times a day, for cold sores a cream is available again Aciclovir is the main component but it is possible to but creams over the counter that are cheaper than a prescription. Dear Sue,

Thank you for replying, hate to hear you have had shingles 6 times. I have never had a cold sore, I guess that is one plus. I know I have been run down since the accident the triggered the Fibro. It seems like I fight to get better and get nowhere. I am going to find out about the Aciclovir. My husband took me to the hospital and I got the antiviral shot but I want to prevent another outbreak. I live with fibro fog! Spelling doesn't seem to matter, I think everyone with this can figure out misspelled words!
