Hi, yes my specialist asked me if i snored, and i did terribly, he asked me to have an overnight sleep study and i did, it turned out that i had sleep apnoea.

I now have a CPAP Machine (constant positive airway pressure) that controlls my breathing at night, i have only just started using it so its early days to be able to tell if it will help me.

Apparently it helps you get a deeper sleep so you dont feel tired the next day.

So i would recomend anyone to have a sleep study, especially if you snore heavily and feel as if you havent had a good quality sleep. Hop this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

best wishes, amanda x

Hi forgot to say it wasnt just about the snoring, it was the waking up in the mornings feeling exhausted and like i hadnt slept very well, also overweight people are much more prone to it and also its more common in men than women, hope this helps xxx

Hi, yes when i had the sleep trial i had two sets of monitors strapped around my chest, and a monitor on my finger to measure oxygen in your blood, also a clear tube under my nose, it was quite uncomfortable but its only one night, and i didnt have to stay in hospital, they put it all on you and then you wear it all night and take it back the next day, it was then a week or so until they phoned me to say i had apnoea.

Regards amanda x
