Hello....yes, your not alone...my balance is terrible especially when I have a flare up. Feels like I'm on a fairground ride, especially when i get up from sitting down or bend over. jools x

I have had such problems with balance, that Easter Sunday I managed to come down 7 steps on my bottom. The bruise is black and so is my mood at the present.I just don`t trust myself at the moment.

Was in the multi story car park thursday evening and my friend couldn`t stop laughing at me as I swore the building was swaying.

And not a drop had past my lips......HONESTLY

poor you! i totally understand your balance problems, as i too have them. My hubby bought me a t shirt with a stick man falling over and it says "I do my own stunts!" I did see the funny side tho! I am constantly walking into doorframes, tripping on stairs, walking into the edge of worktops etc, and ive stopped driving unless its an emergency because my perception of distance has changed so much. I cant park a car straight in a deserted car park and ive even took the wing mirrors off another car when there was loads of room for me to pass! Most of the time i can laugh at myself but sometimes i gett tearful and angry cos i dont understand why this is happening to me, but luckily my memory is so poor later i cant remember why i was so upset. So, you are not alone......buy a t shirt that says "Im not drunk, ive got fibro!" and try to laugh at yourself when you can and when you cant....come on here and have a good maon...good luck x

I have balance problems, I use a walking stick but still fall over, I have migraines, I have never had a miscarriage but all my babies were premature. One of them was only 29 weeks when she was born.

yes i have balance problems at the moment, make me feel like am on a wonky moving walkway. i normally use my daughters pushchair for balance but since she started walking more i've had to start using a crutch although i feel really self concious as i get funny looks and comments as i'm only 30 xx

i have had a miscarriage but this was before my dx so unable to say why it happened x

Hi siver,

I used to love using my pram asit hid alot then when my kids were at school last year i borrowed my neice to use her pram (bad isni it i know lol). Now my balance is crap and i had really bad tremors and i have never got back to how i was before.

My family actually call me jelly kelly when i am bad, i do find it funny by the way. lol.

Its embarrasing more than anything as i do think people might think i am drunk.

I have balance and memory problems and I've had 6 miscarriages , early ones before I was 10 weeks pregnant .

I'm really clumsy too , I'm forever walking into door frames and tripping over things . I have bad knee joints though and so I'm not very stable at the best of times.

xx

yes the balance thing and the dropping thing are familiar . i also had a miscarriage for which they offered no explanations. this was over 30 years ago but then i believe i have suffered fibro since i was a teenager it just wasn't diagnosed

I dont get migraines, and had a miscarriage about 40 yrs ago. Do you think this is affecting my balance/fibro?

Hi Lynn-FA, I have had 3 miscarriages, but have twins now. I also have bad balance and when I am in the shower if I tilt my head back to wash my hair I normally end up on the floor. I forget that I shouldn't tip my head back. My husband has to help me in the shower and bath as this is the main time I lose my balance. I have cracked my head on the toilet, floor sink, sofa and kitchen counter. My husband does not want me doing things when I am alone, but I feel useless and need to be needed. No one can understand that, and I get very depressed, I get told to accept this is how things are, but I can not!

Lynn I have also had a Pulmonary Embolism and was on anti coagulants for two years. I was advised that I did not need them anymore!
