I have a blue badge, you have to get your doctor to send a supporting letter, hope this helps, it does depend on what condition/s you have and how they affect your ability to walk

Just a thought - after getting my Blue Badge, I successfully applied to have the mobility component of my DLA upped to the higher rate. I don't know what your circumstances are, but it may be worth a try. Sleep on it. It's a risky business in this current climate though. I'm pretty sure I should qualify for the middle rate care component too (I have LRC), but I just can't take the risk of reapplying and possibly losing what I already have.

I am on low rate- i guess i am not entitled am i?

I got my Blue badge before my DLA was upped to higher rate mobility. I was lucky to have the support of my GP. I do believe that having the badge helped me to get higher rate mobility later on.
