I SENT MY PARTNER AN E MAIL.

Well ther was notjing else for it he does not really discuss my fibro unless i bring it up so i sent him an e mail yesterday morning jus saying everything i wanted to say and perhaps i thought that he may want to say

, he was really touched by it he took me fior ameal last night , well teatime carvery as we have been together 8 years yesterday so that was nice and he told me if ever i want to talk about it jus do it but he does not like to keep bringing it up in case i get upset so he was quite sweet really,

he does understand totally well as much as he could he struggles as he says i look the samre ansd he forgets at times and he wants to keep my positive which is nice

, I think it is because we dont live together he only sees me from 8pm to 11 pm all week and does not stay any more as my sleeping is so bad he would be awake all night too and that s not fair anyway

jus to say if you cant tell your friend/family/partner how you really are why not text/e mail or write then a letter and it makes you feel good too when you get it out love to you all diddle xxx

Well done diddle...a good idea. So glad it was taken in the way you intended and that the outcome was so positive. He sounds like a wonderful man and hearing his side of things must have made you feel better.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine with your little dog

gentle hugs xx

Aw Jules xxx my ex did exactly the same when I outlined issues regarding our marriage!

Diddle, am so glad that your email had a good outcome. Congrats on your 8 yrs together. I hope that you will eventually spend more time together and get to spend the nights cuddling when you get the right meds to help with your sleep patterns xx I thank my lucky stars for my partner who moved in 7 weeks ago, now my Ami & Gabapentin levels are finally right for sleeptime :-D

Thats brilliant Diddle. Ive been very lucky with my husband. He doesnt see me in the morning during the week when Im struggling to get up in the morning but he sees it all at the weekend. I have been relying on a strong coffee in the afternoon to give me a boost, if weve been out shopping I head to Starbucks for a coffee. My husband did say Id been drinking too much coffee that was until Friday there. Id been up at 6am we were travelling that day (a 250 mile round trip) with a stop off to see my nephew who was getting an op that day. Id bought a starbucks and downed it in 2 minutes. He could see the difference in me almost straight away from being exhausted and almost sleeping in the car to talking and getting the craic. He now wont say anything about how much coffee I drink in the afternoons.

Diddle that was brilliant. I've been sending letters and e-mails for the last 4.5 years to my partner. There are times when I wanted to tell him how much I love him and how I don't always tell him and also how proud I am of him but because I sleep a lot of the time or am in pain I don't get the opportunity. When I first did it I wasn't too sure how he would receive it as he is a roughy, toughy Scotsman - but he was deeply touched and he still has my letters and e-mails to this day. I think it is very important to recognise how much our loved ones do for us and to let them know how much it means to us. It is so easy when you have a chronic illness or illnesses to become consumed with your own problems that you forget about the most important people in your life and how much they do to make our lives easier.
